2. You forget to set your alarm clock and do not get up in time…
3. You burnt your toast because you were rushing… 4. You missed the bus…
5. You had to sign in late at school…
6. And you were late to your History class Lesson 1.
When your teacher asks you:
“Why are you late to my lesson?” and you simply reply “I got into school late” your teacher may not be happy because you have not given a full explanation.
To explain in more detail you would need to use connectives and you should start…
“I am late because… (and then go through all of the reasons in the order that they happened (1-6) using connectives to link up the reasons).
