I might be a bit behind the times on this but are people using google apps and if so how is it panning out?

Be interested to know as it seems to have lots of great features but does it really support learning?

Hi John,

Our school uses GAFE and they are terrific. From basics like using docs and slides instead of Word and PP which allows students to work together in a collaborative fashion to classroom as a VLE (a blessing for homework or when you have students coming into your class later in the year, which happens a lot internationally). There are a lot of great add ons and extensions for Chrome, and slides themes as well which can be useful to us as teachers in improving workflow. Form are great for quizzes or for doing reflections.

If you can find a GAFE summit in your area they are incredibly helpful at giving you ways to use the technology in ways that enhance and support learning and in many cases change how we teach.
