The 9/11 LondonProject is offering students the chance to win a trip to New York thisSeptember (8-12th), which will include a visit to the 9/11 Memorial. The winnerin each category and the two runners-up will all win a trip to New York for the11th anniversary. All six students will travel to New York! In addition each ofthe two category winners will receive £1000, plus an additional £1000 for thetwo winnersí schools.


All students have to do is tell us how they think 9/11 changed the world.We want them to use their imagination by sending us an original, creative andthoughtful piece of work revolving around 1 of these 5 subjects:

1. History

2. Citizenship

3. ReligiousEducation

4. English &Drama

5. Art & Design

Students can
send us either:

o a 5 minute film

o a 1200 word essay

The winner willbe chosen by our expert judging panel which includes celebrated British filmproducer, Lord David Puttnam, British historian and broadcaster, Simon SchamaCBE, and BBC World Affairs Editor, John Simpson CBE. See full list below.
The competition is open to all school students between the ages of 14 and 16from now until 1st June 2012.

Who and what is the 9/11 Project in a nutshell?

The 9/11 London Project is a new UK educational charity that has been set up tomark the tenth anniversary and to ensure that the legacy of 9/11 is one thatbuilds hope from tragedy. Its purpose is to ensure that this and futuregenerations have the opportunity to be taught about the events and tounderstand the causes and consequences of 9/11, in the US, UK and across theworld.
