I'm after a favour. Does anybody have OFSTED gradings for making judgement for their departmental self-evaluation forms? I seem to remember that under the old Ofsted framework Local Authorities produced booklets with a breakdown for grading key areas of a department's practice.
The reason I ask is that I'm trying to design a new departmental SEF where I have broken the key aspects of a department into:
Achievement and Standards
Quality of Teaching
Quality of Curriculum
Monitoring and Intervention
Sixth Form Provision
Leadership and Management
For each heading I am trying to design a grid which can be highlighted showing the judgement of the department as to how that aspect should be graded (see attachment)but I am not happy with my wording of each grade. I know this should really be a whole school document designed by Leadership but at present the school has nothing for this and there is no self evaluation done by departments so I would be very concerned if I had a departmental Ofsted at the moment.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Tim
