If anyone out there is looking for a job there is one going in my dept. It is a great opportunity to come and build a dept from near scratch. The school is the Guru Nanak Sikh Academy in Hayes/Southall and is growing rapidly. The school started out as a VA school in 1999 but has now been made an all through academy. In a short time my colleague and I have lifted history from the floor in terms of popularity and this year close to 50+ students have opted for history at GCSE. There will eventually be A level teaching plus the chance to have a real input into the curriculum that the department follows. You can find details on the TES website. This could be a really interesting twist on working in a faith school and the chance to immerse yourself in something different.

We are advertising for a PSE teacher in teh TES this week. I might even be able to throw in some history?
