Starting to teach Britain 1951-1994 at AS for the first time from Sept.

Anyone got any advice, tips or resources they would be kind enough to share

We don't do OCR any more but the AQA equivalent of this paper, HIS3M 'Britain 1951-2007' is popular and a lot of material is being produced for it. It's A2 and the exact content is different (it covers Domestic and Foreign policy) but much of the stuff could be adapted. There is an AQA/Nelson Thornes textbook by Chris Rowe and Zig Zag have just published a very thorough set of notes. We use the (inevitable) Derrick Murphy et al 'Flagship History 1951-2007' as our basic text and there is also an Access to History book by Michael Lynch with the same title. A number of relevant articles have also appeared recently, particularly in '20th Century History Review' and 'New Perspectives in History'.

In memory of my boyhood hero Jim Clark (1936-1968): 'Chevalier Sans Peur et Sans Reproche'.
