Can anyone clarify the format for the summer 2007 exams?
I believe it is
Document, Brit Hist and European modules - as per summer 2006
Themes and cwk - as per summer 2006
Historical investigations - new format - 1 source question and 1 essay.

I have checked with the board twice and on both occassions was met with "we think...." :curse: anyone know for sure?? kind of hoped the exam board might know for sure!

Cheers in advance

Yep, my understanding is that your analysis is correct. The Investigations paper will lose the old (i) question as OCR wanted to provide more time for the cnadidates to read the passages.

As far as I can make out from what OCR have sent us that's right - but as you say, you never really know with exam boards. Do you think they'll actually tell us about the new specifications soon? I mean, we only have to teach them...

New to the forum and interested in anyone who can shed any light upon the OCR 'A' level coursework. After 25 years of successful 'A' level teaching, and after driving myself mad trying to unravel what on earth was involved from the Board, we took the decision to leave OCRaftre many years.
Met an examiner recently who had marked the coursework and has gone to AQA because she felt the marking scheme was impenetrable.
Sorry not an answer to your question but would like to know if we were the only school to have hit this problem. The Board offered nothing of any help.
Hope your experience is better than ours.
