When undertaking any source questions in an exam you will always need to consider the following:
Nature of the source = what type of source is it? For example a private letter is often very useful because the person who wrote it generally gives their honest view)
Origins of the source = who produced it? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Purpose of the source = why was the source produced? For example the purpose of adverts are to make you buy the products.
