KS3 Conflict in the Middle East Resources

Conflict in the modern Middle East is highly complex, controversial and spans decades going all the way back to pre-WWI. It is after WWI, however, that hostilities between Arabs and the newly-formed stated of Israel rose exponentially. With this resource, you’ll examine the conflicting interests of Jews and Arabs over Palestine, the influence and impact of alliances between Britain, Jewish Israel and Middle Eastern Arabs during WWI, the British mandate of Palestine and the UN decision to partition Palestine, why hostilities increased between Jews and Arabs, and key events that led to periods of conflict and peace. Also covered in these resources are the causes, effects and legacy of the Iran-Iraq war.

Learn more about Conflict in the Middle East with our KS3 resources covering claims over Palestine, WWI alliances and complications, British mandate over Palestine, the UN partition of Palestine, Arab-Israeli hostilities, and more recent conflicts.
