- This led to raids on doss-houses, overnight shelters and hostels
- It resulted with arrest of 11.000 people
- They were sent to ‘labour and improvement camps’, which actually meant slave labour camp
- The aim of this policy: ‘racial hygiene’ – in other words to purify the German Volk by removing undesirable inherited tendencies
