We're having a lot of trouble at the moment with spammers who are joining the forum legally, but then using their forum Profile to advertise/link to different products.
Some of these are not nice at all, and all of them are misusing the forum.

If you find that I or any of the other moderators have visited your Profile, please do not be alarmed; we are just checking for spammers who are using the forum wrongly, so that we can delete and ban them.

If you are a bona fide member using the forum properly, then please accept our apologies for ever doubting you!!

If you FIND a member who is misusing their Profile by adding hyperlinks, please report them - perhaps by posting on this thread, or by using the 'Report' button on one of their posts.

We've now updated the forum so it prevents spammers even bothering to edit a profile - they cannot be seen from the Internet. This will hopefully prevent such issues or mean spammers have just wasted their time.

The forum does look slightly different but we've tried to make it look as close as possible to the previous version. This might change in the future with further updates but as always this forum is geared towards supporting students in their historical studies. Do please let us know if you encounter any issues with the forum.
