How do you exlain the term "Industrial Slum"?

Welcome to the Forum.

That's a good question. Without giving you a definition, what sort of workers do you think lived in this sort of house? Did they have lots of space, light, good toilet facilities and clean water?

You might also want to think about why these problems arose. So, think about how workers got to work and what that meant for how close they had to live to their factory. Where did these workers use to live before they came to the growing towns? What did this mean for the housing supply? How could landlords make the most money out of the houding they owned.
