KS3 Britain’s Iron Age Resources

The Iron Age in Britain refers to a period of prehistory and protohistory of diverse culture and development lasting from 800 BC to around 100 AD. It is called the Iron Age because of the first significant use of iron for tools and weapons. During this time, tribes living in the area that is now modern-day Britain were predominantly of Celtic origins. They had their own agricultural practices and settlement patterns, ways of life, religious practices, economic and social structures, methods of trade and commerce, and tools and techniques used in daily life. They were then supplanted by Romans and by the introduction of Christianity.
